As of the 16th September 2024 we have finally moved into our dream studio!
Our studio was established in 2018 in a smaller premises at 10 Little Square, Braintree. We will always be grateful for our first studio, but it did come with some negative aspects: firstly, being tucked out of the way of the high street, 5 years on from opening, we still had people regularly saying “oh, we didn’t even realise you were here.” The studio was originally intended to be a private studio, so that kind of feedback didn’t really matter in the beginning, but as the team has grown and the shop required more, it was an outlook that we needed to change. Also, our location before now was behind the high street, which meant that the front of our shop was always the back of other shops, which meant bins outside our doors all the time. We were also unfortunate enough to have someone break into our studio in our last days there, which really hammered the nail in the coffin- we needed somewhere more secure, with more space to cater to our growing team, and on the high street where people would no longer be able to miss us!
That lead us to this amazing space that we are in now! What was once an old fabric shop with a menagerie of problems, we stripped it right back and started again and we are so happy with the new space. We spent so much time, effort and money getting the shop to the point where we are happy to share with the public, and whilst there’s still a lot to do, we are very proud of what we have achieved so far.
